Privacy policy
Plain version: we collect what we need to pick up your freight and deliver it, we keep it secure, and we do not sell it to anyone. The detail is below.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, business name, email, phone, addresses.
- Consignment information — pickup and delivery addresses, contact names at each end, item descriptions and weights.
- Proof of delivery — signatures and photographs taken at the delivery point.
- Website data — pages visited and general location, through standard server logs.
Why we collect it
To quote, book, move and prove delivery of freight; to invoice; to meet our obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law; and to investigate a claim if something goes wrong.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to do the job: the consignee (so they know a delivery is coming), our subcontracted operators where one is used on your freight, and our insurers or legal advisers if a claim is made. We do not sell personal information and we do not provide it for marketing by anyone else.
How long we keep it
Consignment and delivery records are kept for seven years to meet tax and transport record-keeping requirements. Enquiries that do not become accounts are deleted within two years.
Security
Records are held in access-controlled systems. Driver devices capturing proof of delivery are managed and can be wiped remotely.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing dispatch@frontlinefreight.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
